Dreaming of a New PC.

After Much Research......

Cooler Master Mystique 632 ATX Aluminum Casing

Cooler Master Mystique 623 Full Aluminum $189
Why: This is the coolest casing to compliment my room. (poison)

Cooler Master Real Power M520 $159
Why: This power supply has 5 years warranty and a price drop! 80 Plus certified means it's power saving and only draw the amount of power needed. Modular means you only add in which cable you need

Barracuda 7200.11 SATA 3Gb/s 500GB 32MB Cache Hard Drive $209
Why: 500GB with 32MB cache instead of 16MB. Should be very fast and more then enough.

Samsung S203B 20x DVD Writer $47
Why: Award winning review by CD-Freak
http://images.tigerdirect.com/skuimages/large/MSI-P35-NEO2-FR-MBM-P35NEO-.jpg
MSI P35 Neo2-FR P35 + Intel E4500 $406
Why: This motherboard is actually a Platinum and I choose the cheapest core 2 duo (don't really need so fast for now)

8800GT with 1GB Video Ram $???
Why: I have a dell 24" LCD and the 1GB will help a lot. Rumors has it that the card will be available next week.
http://www.studioglyphic.com/images/blog/NPM-1GB-Corsair-ValueSelect.jpg
Corsair Value Select Ram PC 5300/667 2x1GB $31 each
Why: Most of the products are from Corbell. No need for Ram that is higher then 5300/667Mhz unless overclocking. Ram Price at this range is the cheapest now.

Total damage is around $1.5k. I seriously need money. This computer will last me for another 4 years.

Mac Book attitude problem.

The stupid CD stuck in the slot in DVD-Writer. Because of this disc, my whole computer slow to a craw.

Got it fix after 20min. They replace it with a new DVD Writer. (talk about express service!) I wasted 30min trying to get the CD out. Anyway I saw how the technician took out the whole thing, means that I will know how to change RAM and Harddisk for MacBook Pro.

How I wish the laptop was mine...

This is so true~!

This is something not very new but very new to me. Usually oversea people who come to singapore will find this card familiar.

This card can let you make outgoing call for 9hrs non stop.(gauge on Starhub PowerValue 100) Let me tell you how it work:

1. Basically you buy one of this card at 7-eleven.
2. Call 6550 9544. The line will be busy and hang up on you.
3. After which your HP will ring and a robot will ask you to input HP number
4. Dial oversea or Singapore Line (example: 6561234567) with the country code
5. Talk till you are happy and hang up
6. You will receive sms and a special phone number. You can choose to save the number so as not to go thru step 1 - 5 in the future.

Amazing!!!

The card will tell you how much value you left and best of all, the call that the other party receive will be 'private' with no caller ID.

The rates compare to starhub (example):
You use up your 100min each call would be $0.15
Using Callback card $0.027

Go do your maths.

You can have a $1 FREE TRIAL and also more info at:
http://callback.sg/

Now don't say I didn't share lobang with you. (There seems to be quite a number of callback card. I heard the green card is the cheapest if you are using it to call Singapore - Singapore)

*Card cost around $8.50 and expire after 6mths.

P.S: I've went to check out at 7-eleven. It seems that they only sell sunpage card. I have no idea where my colleague gets her card that is shown in the picture. The card is suppose to give you $13 value that cost $8.50. I will update this post when I get the answer.
BBQ.

Seldom you will find me blog about food other then chocolate. Mainly because my taste bud is spoil and the only heavenly food I can taste is chocolates.

Attended 2 BBQ on yesterday and the day before. Sunday BBQ was organise by dear colleague. The food was all cook by her colleague daughter. The daughter work at westin hotel as a chief. Food was seriously fantastic but erm.. you know.. I'm those I eat to live and not I live to eat kind.

The second BBQ was organise by class 1/1 from BGSS to celebrate their 'graduation' from sec 1. Unlike the first BBQ that setup a BBQ for no reason at all except to enjoy food. This BBQ is amazing bcos it was held at some HDB block and the class of 20 over students didn't manage to start the fire from 4pm to 8pm.

Dear was the hero of the night. Mange to start a few fire points but I guess recently its either too windy or the charcoal was not enough to maintain the fire but we have fun though. (I'm not sure about them but I sure have fun) It's not easy to see them cos they are only 13 and they can't really go out like adults with no limits of time. It's a joy to be able to see them again.

After a few hrs most of their parents came to fetch them home. There was still some left over food which we can't do anything to it bcos there's no fire. Most of them went back semi hungry I guess. lolx.

Here's some of the pic.
