I'm approaching god mode in PC fixing (and my school gave me B for this subject)
I once came across a problem whereby when I on the PC, the screen is blank and there was no sound or what so ever. Amazing part is that the cd-rom couldn't even eject but the cd-rom was ok when I plugged it into another computer.
I manage to solve it.
I came across another problem where the motherboard couldn't poweron with the CPU. I plug in the CPU to my brother motherboard and even did a CPU test using a software call 'hotcpu tester' the CPU was working well. I went and exchanged the motherboard 3 times. The person say my CPU was 100% spoil. Intel say the motherboard spoil, MSI say the CPU spoil... anyway
I manage to solve it.
Now, I have this PC which is 100% TESTED and working well. JUST THAT I HAVE TO ON IT FOR 1-2 MINS before use. I've done memtest and loop over 1hr of 3Dmark2001. The harddisk is new and without bad sector.
NOW TELL ME HOW TO SOLVE! WTF!

Increasing Client Loyalty
This is one of the best tips I have learnt in my 4 years of computer repair and it is probably the most simple and effective one.
Quite simply, be social with your client and talk to them. This may sound obvious however many people who spend most of their time around computers aren’t the most social people.
There are many computer technicians out there who go to a computer job, fix what they need to, get paid and leave and don’t really talk to their clients.
Every time I am on a computer repair job while I am working, I try to find something to talk to them about whether it is just asking them about their business, how long they have been doing it or how it started. If you are doing home computer repair; ask them about something prominent in their house such as the painting on the wall, the football team flag or their pets. Become a friend.
Talking to a client while you do your work puts them at ease and gives them a sense of trust which can help with getting more word-of-mouth referrals.
In return you will have clients who wouldn’t dare hiring another technician as it would be like ‘betraying a friend’ to them.
Time on the computer job will begin pass quickly because it’s enjoyable and as they say; time flies when your having fun. On some occasions I have even been given free things to eat and drink such as a box of chocolate or a bottle alcohol, but most importantly business opportunities are offered because they feel they can trust me.
On computer repair jobs, you still need to use your best judgment to determine whether the client wants to talk or not. If your client is a large or very busy business sometimes they just want you to come in, fix the problem; don’t bother the employees and go. However some business owners would love to talk and pick your brain for a little while. Take this on a case by case basis. A little PR can go a long way.

Some Superstore service is -_-"
I quitted my job as it was burning all my fun weekend and I got paid lesser but the ironic thing is that I bought my father's day gift from the place that I once work.
It was a 4000 series braun shaver. We were there choosing for around 5mins with nobody serving us until fransin ask one of the promotor if they have a new packet. The promotor choose one of the pack from the same shelf and say that it's new. He then proceed to say that the braun shaver is not that good as it will cut the skin accidently... (I was like huh?)
In order to expose what company he was working for I decided to ask him: "Then what brand do you recommend?" He says 'philips'.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After paying for the braun shaver, I request for the present to be wrapped cos there was only a few people in the store... the gal says that she doesn't know and will try to wrap. (ok, reasonable lah)
After a few mins, my gf ask the gal: can remove the price tag?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was this group of friends who bought this xbox game 3 for $99.90. Problem is that it was in a pack of 4. Before the cashier key in, she asked the group if it was confirm to be 3 for $99 as there seems to be 4 in wrap. The group of friend answered: How we know, it's your store you should know better.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
conclusion: Bad Service.
Lock Locks and more Locks
Drove dad car to work today. Went to fetch dear after her work. Suppose to go Tangs to buy vacuum cleaner but I donno the way end up sending her home. Before that bought some porriage to her house to eat. Watch 'big long towel' after dinner... aka 'da chang jin'
While watching halfway, dear told me that we are 'lock in' in her house as she does not have the keys to open... it sounds ok to me as her neighbours have keys. I ask her to open the door so if the neighbour walk past we can ask the keys. I had an appointment with my client to fix his PC at 8pm plus... luckily the uncle did walk past and we ask him for the keys. Off I go.
Once I reach my car, I couldn't open the car door with my remote... if I tried to open with the key, it would sound the alarm... wth... I called dear and told her I can't drive my own car. Later I attempt to open the car door and the alarm trigger off... even fransin can hear it from her house on the 7th level. WHAT THE HELL! Lucky for me, I manage to ask a person where the hell is the red button to mute the alarm. Took about 10mins and off I go.
Went to collect the PC and drove home. I donno what screws or lock the PC use.. the casing was hard to open... manage to fix the PC in a matter of mins.
kaoz.. whoever invented locks!?!?
p.s: I FINALLY QUIT THAT STUPID COURTS JOB!
How to cheat in School.
I went to search on the net regarding the lastest trend in school cheating right after watching news that some students uses UV pen to cheat in their exams. IT SOUNDS/LOOK FREAKING COOL TO ME!
I manage to stumble upon this site which I think reflect much about me... meaning, if I had setup a cheating website, it will somehow or rather be 90% same as this.
Bad Salesperson.
IT show is finally over. I've manage to be the overall top salesperson for harvey norman. The earning for 4 days was like >1/3 of fransin pay. Thank God for all the lucky sales and I think I'm really sucker for $_$ as I won't feel hungry if my sales is good. I can eat and survive on one bread for duration of 11hours.
All was well until the last min of the day where I went over to the other company and try my luck. I manage to stumble upon 2 guys customer and I try to clinch the deal with one of them with the knowledge that they are being serve by another gal. They are very keen on a particular model of printer but that printer was sold out. So they had to pre order and collect it from funan centre or sim lim (not sure). As I was working for harvey norman, I had the advantage of asking them to collect any harvey norman that is nearest to their home. I successfully clinch the deal in less then 3min. (I didn't know how long that gal serve them)
It was damn unethical and I only realise that when asking the customer to pay on my side. Althought is only <40% of chance they would buy from them. (as they had only 2 branches in singapore) I feel very bad. what to do? all I can say is sorry. I think the gal is very tulan with me. She complained to the canon gal on her side and I got ticked by that canon gal. Nevertheless, I did apologise for my cutting action and also explain my point that the customer might not buy if its too far away to collect from his home.
