I got baptise today.
What does baptism do?
There are, roughly speaking, four views of the effect of someone being baptised:
· Nothing. Christians need not bother with the physical sign of baptism if they experience the spiritual grace. Spirit-baptism is the fulfilment of the ceremony of water-baptism. This view is taken by churches which do not practice sacraments, such as the Quakers (Society of Friends) and Salvation Army.
· An expression of obedience to Jesus, and as such is desirable but not essential: it is a sign which symbolises an underlying reality but has no actual effect. This view is called Zwinglian (after Zwingli 1484-1531) or Baptist (but many Baptist theologians are closer to the Reformed view). One of the main points of baptism on this view is that it is a witness to others of one’s personal decision to follow Christ.
· It is a sign and seal, effecting what it signifies in the context of faith. This is the Reformed or Covenant view, held by the Church of England (in the 39 Articles of Religion in the Book of Common Prayer) and the Presbyterian Westminster Confession. “In the context of faith” means that the New Testament’s language of efficacy (e.g. Romans 6:4, 1 Peter 3:21) is correctly applied to those who trust in Jesus for themselves.
· it does what it says it does, actually making someone a Christian. This is called the “Catholic” or “Ex opere operato” view. (These Latin words mean it works by virtue of having been performed correctly.).

A Pile of Shit
I finally receive letters a few days ago from army. They will be calling me back for some 2hr mob briefing. Anyway, this sat will be my IPPT at bedok camp. I will go there and fail then see when is my RT.
I ask my mom to take out the boxes which contain all my army stuff. Opening them was a headache. All the smell of the army shirt, pants, SBO, bag, shoe, boots... what shit all inside. I had a headache cos I found out that I can only wear one set of the uniform. The rest are too small. I call up my unit and one gal answered the phone. I ask one question she ask me hold on and she ask another ppl the question and get back to me again. Wah Lau. I'm glad also lah cos it means that it's still as cock up as last time. (or hopefully worst)
I manage to get some help from fransin brother who go through with me what is a full pack item. The unit say I have to go back to air force e-mart and not army e-mart to buy my items. Nowadays there is no such thing as one to one exchange. I ask the gal on the phone how much I have in my card, she just siam and say she is not the one to check and she donno. (nice service)
My fullpack is very lethal. Look nice but deadly. Once you use the item inside you will have instant death. 6 years old toothpaste and toothbrush, 6 years old mass tin (if I spell it correctly), 6 years old powder, 6 years old rusty whister, 6 years old kiwi, 6 years old fork and spoon, 6 years old soap... I wonder use liao will die or not.
Freaking sian 1/2. This is the only magic set that fit me. I feel my brain power decrease by 3/4 and my body strength increase by 1/4 when I wear this 'magic overall'. I still lack a 'chao keng' glasses to complete my overall. maybe I should scroll my shirt? I lack weapon can't attack...
shit.. I talk like maple...

Is this a joke?
Kuala Lumpur — Malaysia's first astronaut will do what no one in space has done before: Play traditional Malay children's games in a gravity-free environment.
The astronaut — yet to be selected — will play batu seremban, or five stones, and spin traditional Malay tops in space, the Agriculture Ministry's parliamentary secretary Rohani Abdul Karim told lawmakers in Parliament, according to national news agency Bernama and local paper The Star.
Batu seremban involves throwing and catching stones, and is usually played by young girls. "The main purpose of launching an astronaut in space is to conduct experiments in microgravity," Ms Rohani said.
"These conditions are not available on earth ... and this is an opportunity for our scientists to prove their mettle.
"Schoolchildren will be further motivated to increase their interest in science and technology when our astronaut holds a live teleconference with students from several selected schools," she added. In addition to playing games and conducting experiments, the astronaut will also do batik painting and make teh tarik — a traditional way of tea-making.
Asked about the cost of the space programme, Ms Rohani said it would be free of charge as the costs would be offset by Malaysia's purchase of Sukhoi fighter aircraft from Russia, The Star reported.
Mr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, 34, and Mr Faiz Khaleed, 26, are currently vying to join the Russian space expedition for eight days in September next year. — AP

Today I sign my first full time job in my whole life. The pay wise wasn't attractive but I guess its a God send job.
I haven't book my IPPT.
Next year army would want me to join them for 10 weeks.
I have to focus and be a multimedia student.
I seem to be lost in piano lesson already.
Things are not looking good.
I'm going to have a no life 2007.

TERTIARY STUDENTS CAN CONTINUE TO USE THE TERTIARY STUDENT EZ-LINK CARD AFTER GRADUATION - 16 June 2006
Singapore – Tertiary students graduating this year can continue to use the Tertiary Student ez-link card after graduation.
Users should check the validity period or expiry date of their cards at any TransitLink Ticket Office, Add Value Machine or General Ticketing Machine. When the expiry date is approaching, the card user may request to extend the card validity by calling TransitLink Hotline at 1800-CALL ONE (1800-2255 663) in the last month of expiry.
The validity of the card can be extended until the full life span of the card is reached. During this period, the Tertiary Student ez-link card can be used to pay for transportation needs at adult fare rates, although monthly concession pass cannot be encoded.
Due to limitation in the system, the cards can only be extended for successive periods of 511 days (or about 1 year and 5 months) from the expiry of their concession eligibility. Tertiary students must re-validate their cards in the last month of every 511 days until the card reaches its full 5 years. If the card is not re-extended by the cardholder, the card will expire and cannot be re-validated. Then, they can apply for deferred refund on the remaining value of the expired card at any TransitLink Ticket Office.
For more information on the Tertiary Student ez-link card extension, students can log on to TransitLink website www.transitlink.com.sg or call toll-free TransitLink Hotline at 1800-CALL ONE (1800-2255 663).

untitled?
Today I went to church... was late and fransin didn't get to sing much. lolx. Today bible verse is very short but the speaker was v.good. I think he had tons of jokes in his head. He even sell humor books. He told us to check it out in the newspaper last sunday archive. (22th Oct if I'm not wrong) I browse through the books but didn't buy cos I'm very meow.
The topic today was about running a race... our life are bought by the blood of Jesus and he told us to serve the Lord while we're are still 'movable'. He was asked by God to become a Rev and he had a pay cut like 9 times lower then his pay. erm.. I'm not good in maths... lets just say he took 1/10 of his pay and his advertising on the newspaper on 22Oct was FOC. He said he manage his 12books in a year. I took his name card and I think its the most weird name card I ever saw. There wrote the vision and his home address I think and the email was from singnet. When you flip to the back, the name card was actually a kodak photo paper. Weird rite?
Was the pianist for children church today. I'm wondering why my skill still sucks. I hate listening to my own playing. The piano course that I'm taking makes me have a split personality. I'm trying to play my own pattern and yet trying to put the new pattern to use. The results become one big piece of shit playing.
I wish for a full time job. My hobby is collecting money.

World’s Fastest Street-Legal Car
was built by a tuner in England. Powered by a 9.3L V8 engine that produces an incredible 2200hp, it goes from 0-60 in just 1-second. This definitely gives Ron Patrick’s jet-powered bug a run for its money. Video after the jump. What are your thoughts?

IBM and Apple make most reliable computers
If you ever find yourself caught between a rock and hard place when it comes to choosing a reliable computer hardware manufacturer, a solid name that offers solid products, then the following info could well be for you.
The first-ever annual computer reliability report (released by tech company Rescuecom), is a comparative analysis of various computer vendors, their market share, and related consumer service call data via Rescuecom’s own call centre. The results of said comparison have revealed that users of computers made by Apple or IBM/Lenovo generally seek support less frequently than other ‘leading’ manufacturers.
The report’s resulting ‘Reliability Scores’ were amassed by calculating the difference between the company’s (US) market share against the percentage of support calls registered at the Rescuecom call centre concerning each specific vendor.
The report scores revealed IBM/Lenovo as the leaders in reliability, with Apple coming in a close second. However, both HP/Compaq and Dell still placed third and fourth respectively—despite their notably larger market share, and therefore higher probability of support calls. Gateway capped the top-five vendors, with the remaining 37.02% of the market share made up of companies described only as “Others”.
Results are based on more than 20,000 service calls to Rescuecom (not the first-party vendor) and duly provide computer consumers with a somewhat ‘pinch of salt’ listing to base their choices on.
In that sense, it’s worth bearing in mind that end-users don’t ‘only’ turn to third-party supporters to fix problem issues, and not all end-users will ask a specific third-party supporter such as Rescuecom to assist them—which decreases the reliability of Rescuecom’s report somewhat.

Windows Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP SP2
Conclusions
Internet Explorer 7 is an absolute no-brainer: If you use Windows, you should almost certainly upgrade immediately: IE 7's security features are top-notch and its functional improvements are nicely designed and greatly appreciated. For the short term, certain people may run into occasional Web site compatibility issues with IE 7, but I think those problems will fade quickly. Certainly, most major Web sites have already been upgraded to work correctly with Microsoft's latest Web browser. I've had a field day in the past making fun of IE, but with IE 7, the browser has finally turned the corner. This is one product that Microsoft should be quite proud of. My only question, really, is what took them so long? Seriously, download it now. Highly recommended.

Feel like shit.
Kana flu. I donno issit because of the weather or the bed is too dusty. Keep sneezing. Usually my flu will be nose block. No such thing as keep sneezing.
Suppose to take care of dear but in the end its the other way round. Went church despite the flu cos I remember one verse which says serve the Lord with your heart, strength and soul. The strength actually refers to moving ur ass from home to church. lolx.
Wanted to go IMM today but fail badly. Sorry dear.

The battery problem keeps exploding.
Lenovo will recall 526,000 notebook batteries due to faulty batteries, the company said on Thursday.
The batteries were designed by Lenovo, but Sony produced the lithium ion cell. The recall impacts notebooks produced from Feburary 2005 to September 2006, according to Lenovo spokesman Ray Gorman. For now, the recall will only impact about 5 percent to 10 percent of notebooks produced by Lenovo, Gorman said, but the company recommends that all customers go to the Lenovo site and check to see if they have one of the faulty batteries.
Separately, Sony announced that it will initiate its own recall program involving battery packs using its battery cell technology. Details will be announced later in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission, but the program will involve the replacement of affected battery packs "in order to address concern related to recent overheating incidents," Sony said in a press release.
With the recall, Lenovo becomes the fourth major PC manufacturer to haul batteries back due to safety problems. Dell said that it would recall 4.1 million notebook batteries in August, and Apple Computer subsequently announced it had to recall 1.8 million notebook batteries. Toshiba, meanwhile, said this month that it would recall 340,000 batteries.

Finally some time for myself.
This week will be the last week before the start of my 3 weeks holiday. As usual, fransin went for holiday again. I think this is the 2nd holiday this year for her. She seems to be enjoying it.
As for me, I feel that everyday is a race against time. Looking back, I'm so relieve that I have break away from stupid schools (ok, maybe not totally) and finally into what a 27 year old guy should be doing... working.
I saw many blog and most of them are either studying, NS or missing their previous school life. Up to this point I have not regret buying my cert and getting out of that school which come to think of it, its amazing how I even survive with there with an empty head. Now I use my experience to teach those who are 10 years younger then me and have more brighter future then me. Everyday I go sch, I see myself in them. The only difference is that they can still choose their path while mine is quite dead already.
On my mind everyday is money money and more money. Computers of course is part of it and so is HDB flats and Wedding and being Pianist in church. I just wish to work n earn money everyday. I think my brain is a bit siao already.
I WANT MONEY! MONEY! MONEY!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?
Dear Readers,
I have something very interesting to share with you all. This story will give an insight on what's been happening during Sept 2006 and why I'm so busy.
I've been receiving this call from a friend friend friend to help her buy and setup a printer. Since I don't own a company and this kind of little things anyone can do, I suggest she save some money and I will give her the model and she fix it herself... If really don't know can call me and I will go down.
I ask her what operating system her PC is running on, she told me it was WINDOWS XP. Well, that means any printer in the market now can buy lah. I finally went down to her house today. After I unwrap the printer and teach her how to fix the ink cart in, I ask her where is her computer cos no computer was in sight. She pointed to a box. It turn out to be a box to terror.
What lies inside:
A old Pentium 3 system with obsolete RDram and NO HARD DISK was inside with some creative speakers and a super heavy 17 inch monitor.
omgomgomgomgomgomgomg........... My first question in my head was: WHERE IS WINDOWS XP?
After scanning the system with my eyes, I advise her to get a new PC. As I have a lot of shit coming I suggest that I will go and fix everything swee swee for her today. Upgrading the whole thing cost a total of $520 (service charge included)
So during evening I went to her house, She say her brother or cousin (I forgot) haven't come and fix the light. So I was actually setting up the 3 piece speakers and everything in Semi-DARKNESS. In the end the printer can't work cos either the cable was a fake 2.0 version or it was way too long (5 meters)
*This is only one part* There is many phone calls like how to unlock car, why can't find aunty house, wanna go movie, today you are pianist type of phone calls. The worst was fixing PC which was not yet my holiday. nvm if you all don't understand any part. JUST:
CONTACT ME AFTER 22ND SEPT! Thank you!

What a day.
Woke up early for church as usual. Church is going to sponser some money for a group of ppl to go some piano course so that they can play for English service. I think I have to fork out $200+? Omg... I really don't like having piano teacher. The reason why I play without reading score is because I read the score like tortoise.
Last time when I was young, the teacher ask me to back face the piano and she will press a key and ask me what do,re,me was that. At that point of time I really think she is insane or she is trying to make me a God of Gambler by listening to sound and manage to identify them. Really siao.
Drove to expo cos very lazy to take MRT... the carpark queue was like fooking looooooong and by the time I get out the carpark fees was $6.30. wow... many cars I saw got out at this rate and some even got out at $12+++. Now I wonder issit really saving more money going to PC show like this?
I went on thursday and today and even went to sim lim on friday. I must say that some items in sim lim is even cheaper then PC show. Although I nv work as a salesman (lucky) anymore in this show but I had tons of phone calls asking me PC stuffs. Imgine answering my students question while waiting to go into the expo carpark... my student ask me dell computer good or not.. I say it's value for money... she ask me what is value for money... -_-"
Seriously, sometimes I worry for my students. A simple word like 'secret' they donno how to spell and everyday can go in class 8 person play DOTA together. see bay solid. I always tell them that I'm just like them and they must die die get a diploma else very hard to survive. Most of them say poly too hard and give up even before trying to enter... kaoz. I told them to follow my footstep and sure will manage to get one diploma out one.
Anyway, at the PC show today I almost wanted to buy this Dell 24" LCD Monitor which cost $1.2k (I must be out of my mind) but it really look shoik. On thursday saw vivian and tommy, today saw lifang with her bf...
Nowadays, I have this problem of donno how to ans ppl cos the first question would be like: what are you doing nowadays? It always make me think that I haven't got a full time job up till now. haiz. this current job I'm having is like some 3 in 1 mixed. I'm suppose to help the teacher but I donno the subject so I learn while the teacher is teacher. The student can't catch up and they will call me teacher and I will have to help the student. Sometime I play maple with them at night and already got some bunch of students who became my customer.
Tomorrow I will have to submit my time sheet and hope that the section head will have some good news for me to get me into a full time job. I'm really record breaking already... Talk about a 27 year old guy who haven't done a full time job in his entire life. hey wait.. my birthday haven't come yet.. 26 or 27? argh
fook.
I'm going to get this before christmas 2006.

Apple Recalls 1.8 Million Sony Batteries
On Aug. 14, Dell Inc. recalled 4.1 million faulty laptop batteries - the largest involving electronics in the history of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Apple's recall covers 1.1 million rechargeable batteries in the 12-inch iBook G4, 12-inch PowerBook G4 and 15-inch PowerBook G4 laptops sold in the United States from October 2003 through August 2006. The recall also covers an additional 700,000 batteries in laptops sold abroad, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Although Lenovo uses Sony batteries, Lenovo engineers configured their battery packs differently than Dell or Apple. They also rigorously tested the battery packs with Sony engineers, and they're "highly confident" the laptops aren't going to overheat.
"Lenovo designs its battery packages a different way," said Lenovo spokesman Bob Page. "How close the battery pack is it to a heat source, how evenly can you keep the heat in battery cells, the basic geometric arrangement of the cell - all those things affect whether there will be problems." <-- zun bo?!?

I just love going to school. Now I understand how the education system works. School is just a place for people to earn their $$$. They will also advertise just like what any other brand would advertise their products.
Seriously, it makes me wonder why people go to school. Sometimes the teacher in school know less things then the students and you waste more time interacting with the students whereby you could actually research the work at home and learn more.
Every school has a bell curve. Every organisation has some head to answer to. What difference does it make? Why do people keep donating money to the organisation? Issit because we are affected by all the commercial such as 'lifelong learning', 'learn till you are old', or issit because we pay to buy that piece of paper which sometimes can't even get us anywhere? Would you be able to earn more money while working from the start then donating all those money to schools? Do you think you will become a millionaire if you are the one who open the school and sucking other people school fees?
I only see one aim. one target. one purpose.
THAT IS TO MAKE MORE MONEY.
Moral of the story:
All good things in life COST MONEY.

What a Chalet!
Went to Glen 21st Bday Chalet yesterday. So many bday all my hard earn $_$ all fly.. lolx. Decided to fetch Kok and Norman from Pasir Ris MRT to the chalet.
Wow, upon reaching the chalet I found out that there was so many people having chalet and I decided to play some 'out of this world' game with that crazy kok. I was thinking of going to other people chalet and just act like 'I know the person there' and try to get some food. I got this idea because glen invited some malays to his party and I was thinking what if some of the malay is not glen friend at all?!? Nobody will question them also...
Me and Kok finally found one house which had just finish singing the Happy Birthday song.. we try to stand as close as possible and what do you know.. next moment a lady came with a cake and gave it to kok!!!!!!!
WAHAHAHHAA... WTHHHHHHHH.
I think that's the only piece of reward for the game. We even tried taking chairs out from our chalet and sitting into other people chalet... virtually, nobody question us or ask who we are. After the chalet I was trying to earn $$ again by asking norman, kok, ren hui and josie to pay $4 to send them home. All the way from Pasir Ris to Redhill and to Jurong and to Woodland.. but they don't want.. so I drop them off at Eunos MRT.
wah lau.. all I think of is $_$. I own norman $13
Moral of the story:
Next time you open chalet please take attendance! Trust no one.

Busy
As my class starts at 3pm, I shall take a break and blog. Been busy for the past few days, last weekend was pianist for the 2nd time for English Service... I listen to my same old playing until I wanna puke and I receive a lot of encouragement (I personally dont think its compliment) cos the topic of the day was to encourage people. They sms-es me saying that I play the piano well... (Thanks)
Someday before this week, I went to this house to fix computer. The family was introduce by my ITE friend and I think the mother is a teacher in some school and the daughter is in the same school also. They are christian family I think cos I saw a lot of books and bible on the shelfs. Kaoz, the daughter is very talented as she is doing her diploma in piano and she is in sec 2 only. I also see some pic on the wall which shows that she is playing gu zhen (chinese instruments) and yesterday when I deliever the PC she ask me if I have software that enable her to type japanese. WTF.
I went tampines yesterday also to sign on some plan which allow me, or should I say force me to save some amount of money for 2 years. Every month I would have to 'donate' to the bank. After I walk out from the bank, I saw a handphone shop selling 2nd hand H.P. My eyes immediately look at the treo 650 limited blue edition and I bought it in less then 10mins. I ask the guy if I could pay by Nets and he whipped out a wireless gprs enabled nets machine. WOW.
Later at around 6-7pm I went and exchange my treo for a brand new treo. (don't ask me how I do it) It just means that I only spend undisclose amount on a treo 650 with extra batt, stylus and 256 MMC card. If you think that is expensive, the current market price for that phone is at least $550 without the freebies!
Last by not least, My Dear is flying to Taiwan today... haiz
Talk about a ridiculous good bargain!

NDP 2006
Went to the preview of NDP 2006 on saturday. I brought along a hugh binoculous. (highly recommended! can see gals erm...) This time I was smart by not bringing anything and wearing shorts and white shirt... why white? The only red shirt was a canon shirt.. seems like helping them promote. My dear wore a 'are you game' shirt. I donno she got it from what school. hahaha
I'm smart to be lightweight but not smart enough as I forgot to bring the camera! wth.. I know I know.. NPNT (no pic no talk). Not even me or dear brought our palm and I just sold my camera HP months ago (using N8250 again). I heard that our preview ticket was worth $150 in the black market. Nobody wanted when I sign in sign out in msn with a spare ticket. In the end the ticket ended up with my church friend. I think it's God will to let her go there.
This year NDP was not that 'grand' as last year. Or maybe the preview mode was not as 'superb' as the actual day event bah... fake president went around waving... hahaha... and the aeroplane only fly past 4 times.. wth.. totally sucks. The fireworks was wonderful though.
Weekend like no weekend.. lucky my work start at afternoon today.
There was 3 tickets and we had 3 fun packs. I was honest enough to show and give my ticket but donno why the guy don't wanna accept. Think can get 3 more but it was damn crowded... as if Singapore is giving free fridge to everyone...

Google Earth.
Try finding where you live!
This is my home location: 1°19'57.10"N , 103°54'20.90"E (copy paste to google earth)
Click for pic of my home
NOW, if I play god and decided to build a bridge from my house to my dear house, it will be a short trip of 5.84KM
But I'm not god and I have to drive. A short trip from my house and back takes around 16.26KM
Amazing.

Fun at Sentosa for a total of $7.
Went to church today and after service all head toward sentosa. Each person had to pay only $7. Free Water, Free rides (some) Free lunch (8 course meal) included also. Bus transport also provided.
SUPERB DEAL BY MY CHRUCH! (suppose to be a outing to bond everyone)
Saw some kids playing this... my cousin say this thing has been there before sentosa was renovated
The view on top of the 'flying chair' (note the left side)
Preparing for 'LUGE'. A 'car' which can go up to 50km/h (depend how fast you wanna drive)
Ben & Jerry shop. We bought a milk shake for like $7.90 (exxxxxx)
Inside Underwater World
A slacking Swordfish (think he told a lie)
Jellyfish. Very nice.
Jellyfish.
Angelfish. It is very beautiful
Japanese Spider?!? no, It's a yummy crab.
This is a shell of the crab. It says that the crab will 'run away from home' to find a new shell.
Out of the blue this hologram shark came in front of me. It's really BIG
This card is SUPER POWERFUL. FREE ENTRENCE TO EVERYTHING AT SENTOSA! for example: You can sit the cable car free until you puke! (lost it and pay $500) WTFook!!!!
More info about this card: http://www.singapore-attractions.com/family.htm
Wah lau... 1min to reach from point B to point A. I 'drove this' instead of taking the 'flying chair' back. (DIE DIE MUST TRY!!! VERY SHOIK!!)
All thing in sentosa is FREE! Using the card I mention just now.
Before getting into the 'flying chair'
Me and Dear.
If you find that all the rides mention above are not exciting, try LIFTING THE SAFETY BAR IN MID AIR. 101% thrilling.
It's a regret I didn't use the card to sit cable car until I puke. Sentosa is very fun after the renovation. Highly recommened to visit! What is miss is the monorail... now have to take their free bus or tramp to get around. (Warning. die die go and get a map when you reach there.)
Total Damage: $7 (without ice cream, slurpee, 4 AA Energizer Batt)
